Sai Sudarshan, the talented left-handed batsman from Tamil Nadu, is an exciting name in Indian domestic cricket.

Playing for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022, Sai has impressed cricket fans worldwide.

1) On 15 October 2001, Sai Sudarshan was born in the city of Chennai in India

2) Sai Sudarshan’s father R.Bharadwaj represented India at the South Asian (SAF) Games in Dhaka

On the other hand, his mother Usha Bharadwaj played Volleyball for Tamil Nadu

In an interview, Sai said that his parents encouraged him to stay fit – both mentally and physically

3) From an early age, Sai Sudarshan was very interested in playing cricket

In 2016, Sai’s batting at an under-16 camp caught the attention of R Prasanna, a stalwart of Tamil Nadu cricket.

4) In the 2019-20 Under-19 Challenger Trophy, Sai Sudarshan opened the batting for India-A along with Yashasvi Jaiswal

Tilak Varma, Ravi Bishnoi, and Priyam Garg also participated in that tournament.

5) In the 2019-20 Raja of Palayampatti Shield, playing for Alwarpet CC, Sai scored 635 runs for Alwarpet CC at an average of 52.92

This phenomenal run-saga made him the highest run-scorer for Alwarpet CC in the tournament

6) In the 2021 edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL), Sai Sudarshan scored 358 runs (8 innings) at an impressive average of 71.60 to finish as the tournament’s second-highest run-scorer.

His impressive batting form in TNPL helped him get into Tamil Nadu’s state cricket team.

7) On 4 November 2021, Sai made his T20 debut for Tamil Nadu against Maharashtra in the 2021-22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Lucknow

In this game, batting at No.3, Sai played a superb 35-run-knock ( off 19 balls ) to help his team snatch a thrilling 12-run-victory

8) On 8 December 2021, Sai Sudarshan made his List-A debut for Tamil Nadu against Mumbai in the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy

In this match, opening the batting alongside the Tamil Nadu skipper Narayan Jagdeeshan, Sai played a 24 run knock to help his team get a good start

9) In the 2022 IPL auction, Sai Sudarshan was bought by the Gujarat Titans for INR 20 lacs

10) On 8 April 2022, Sai Sudarshan made his IPL debut for the Gujarat Titans against the Punjab Kings at the famous Brabourne Stadium

In this match, batting at No.3, Sai scored 35 runs off 30 balls and stitched an invaluable 101 run partnership with Shubhman Gill for the 2nd wicket

11) On 3 May 2022, Sai scored his maiden IPL half-century ( 65* off 50 ) against the Punjab Kings at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai
