Rishi Dhawan, the talented fast-bowling all-rounder, is one of the most talented names in Indian cricket.

Playing for IPL teams, Himachal Pradesh, and the Indian cricket team, Rishi has impressed cricket fans worldwide.

1) On 19 February 1990, Rishi Dhawan was born in Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh in India

2) Dhawan played cricket in junior levels as a medium-paced bowler but gradually enhanced his batting skills to establish himself as an effective lower-middle-order batsman. His brother Raghav Dhawan also plays club cricket.

3) A right-handed batsman and a right-arm pacer, Rishi Dhawan largely relies on his change of pace and cutters.

4) In the 2006 Cooch Behar Trophy, at the age of 16, Rishi Dhawan scored 340 runs for Himachal Pradesh in an Under-19 match against Railways

5) On 26 February 2008, Rishi Dhawan made his List-A debut for Himachal Pradesh against Services in the 2007–08 Vijay Hazare Trophy

In his 109 List-A matches, Dhawan has scored 2,385 runs and picked 158 wickets.

6) On 24 November 2009, Dhawan made his first-class debut for Himachal Pradesh against Tamil Nadu in the 2009–10 Ranji Trophy

In his 91 first-class matches, Dhawan has scored 3,725 runs and picked 309 wickets

7) In 2008, Dhawan was drafted to the Kings XI Punjab in the IPL but didn’t get to play any IPL match for the next five years

He played for Mumbai Indians in 2013 and then for Kings XI Punjab between 2014 and 2016

8) On 17 January 2016, Rishi Dhawan made his international debut for India against Australia at the SCG in Sydney

On 18 June 2016, Dhawan made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe in Harare but failed to make an impression.

9) In the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy, Dhawan was the leading run-scorer for Himachal Pradesh in that Ranji season

10) In December 2021, Dhawan led Himachal Pradesh to their maiden domestic title win at the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Dhawan finished as the tournament’s second highest run scorer with 458 runs and the second highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets.

11) In the 2022 IPL auction, Rishi Dhawan was bought by the Punjab Kings for INR 55 lacs
