1) On 29 October 1998, Matthew Potts was born in the port city of Sunderland in Northern England

2) Matthews Potts, a right-arm pacer and lower order batsman, is a graduate of the Durham academy

As a young player, he gained a lot of fame playing for the England Under-19 team.

3) On 8 June 2017, Matthews Potts made his first-class debut for Durham against Kent in the 2017 County Championship
